The TEQIP of India has dropped out the Islamic University of Science and technology from the list of institutions offered grants under the TEQIP-III programme. The process was initiated and many of the research scholars are apprehensive of losing their research assistance under TEQIP-III. An aggrieved scholar said that they are surprised to hear that IUST has dropped the list of institutions that will be receiving research assistantship for the last 2 and half years. The process has created stress among research scholars as denial of fellowship to the IUST.
Prof. NisarIqbal proffered that the TEQIP-III project will be ending on March 31 this year. And extension will be given for last ‘6’ months. He also said that “the University was seriously looking over the issue, so we are confident that the issue will be getting rectified”.
