Hyderabad: Students will get a chance to do their Ph.D. right after their BTech from the academic year 2022-2023. Thanks to the national education policy (NEP). Several institutes, that includes Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management Deemed to be University, SR University, among others from Telangana will be extending this option to students who have completed 4-years of bachelor’s degree.
Navin Mittal, Commissioner, collegiate and technical education also confirmed that as of now there is no plan for state universities to offer PhD directly after B.Tech. Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, National Institute of Technology, and Warangal already have the provision for exceptionally good candidates.
