Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) recently organized a one-day virtual workshop on intellectual property rights (IPR) as a part of ‘Azadi ka amrit Mahotsav’ celebrated across the country to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence. The workshop was aimed at disseminating information about the benefits of IPR for boosting the economic development of the country. It is also focused on commercial gain, sharing technology, innovation, and global best practices by the user countries.

The virtual event was inaugurated and carried out over by Najma Akhtar, vice-chancellor, JMI. A total of 653 participants including PG and PhD students and faculty members have registered for the workshop.

Shipra Misra, CEO, and MD of CKIC-DRIIV Delhi research implementation and innovation programme was the guest of honor for the workshop. She delivered the keynote address.
