Lucknow: A group of students of Dr Babasaheb Bhimarao Ambedkar University (BBAU) Continued their protest on the campus for the third day in a row on Wednesday in support of their demand for the appointment of faculty and to make sure the availability of PhD seats at the centre for the study of social exclusion and inclusive policy.
The centre for the study of social exclusion and inclusive policy is a University grants commission sponsored centre for the conduct of research on the issue of social exclusion.
Dr Babashaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University had announced in 2020 that the centre will offer a PhD but the facility has been appointed for the purpose as yet due to which there are no research opportunities available at the centre.
Meanwhile, University spokesperson Rachna Gangwar said, “we are going to conduct entrance for PhD seats for the centre for the study of social exclusion policy in the session 2022-2023.
