Independence Day in India (சுதந்திர தினம் 2024) occurs on August 15 of every year. A long and terrible 190- years of British rule came to an end in the year 1947. Our nation was declared as an Independent India on this day after so many struggles. We are going to celebrate the 77th Indian independence in 2024.

Dubai’s Burj Khalifa lights up in tricolor to celebrate our nation’s freedom. The celebration featured heartfelt messages and a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. In Singapore, flag hosting will be carried out.
India received Independence from British rule on August 15, 1947, at midnight. At this time, the Indian Independence Act came into effect. It was the effect of nonviolent resistance to British rule led by Mohandas Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. India got its independence actually at 11 pm on August 14, 1947. However colonial powers of Britain were handed over to India on August 15th.
