69 LU students clear GATE

Lucknow: Over three dozen students of Lucknow University qualified for the graduate aptitude test in Engineering, a national level examination that tests the comprehensive understanding of various UG subjects in engineering and science. The test results are utilized for admission into master’s programmes and jobs in public sector companies. Since last year, GATE is also being carried out for humanities subjects.

LU students who have secured top ranks were Amit Kumar from the Sociology department with all India rank (AIR) 3, Om Shukla of statistics department with AIR 56, and Ashish Prajapati of Computer Science Engineering with AIR 325. Overall, 29 students of LU Engineering faculty and 40 students of Physics, chemistry, psychology, botany, and mathematics qualified GATE 2022 carried out by IIT Kharagpur. The results of the examination were released on Thursday night.
