Surat: Totally, 36,762 students of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) were conferred degrees at the 53rd annual convocation on Saturday. A total of 75 research scholars were awarded degrees that include 62 doctors of Philosophy and 13 masters of Philosophy.
The highest research degrees were in Arts faculty with 16 PhD and 6 MPhil scholars followed by the faculty of education in that 14 completed PhD while three completed MPhil from science faculty, 13 PhD and one MPhil degrees were awarded.
The convocation was addressed virtually by the governor and chancellor of the University Acharya Devvrat and education Minister Jitu Vaghani.
