Himangshu Prabal Goswami talks about his attempt to pursue Quantum physics, translating scientific literature into regional language, and explore ways to strengthen STEM in northeast India.
Himangshu Prabal Goswami was born in Tezpur, Assam. As a Kid, he was fascinated by the fictional characters of sci-fi classics. He said, that “Comic books are the best method to see scientific imagination coming to life” He studied at Don Bosco High school Tezpur and selected a different way to study fundamental science.
During his PhD study, Himangshu moved from Department of Chemistry to Quantum physics at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Himangshu is translating academic literature into local Assamese language. Through this, he hopes that this translated version will trigger more interest among local people.
