Kurukshetra university (KU) vice-chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva on Tuesday inaugurated the IUMS portal for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD online admissions at the varsity campus.
Prof Som Nath said, “It is a major step towards making KU a completely digital university as per the vision of Prime minister Modi and Haryana CM Manohar Lal.
All process from the admission process of the University to the preparation of mark sheets of the students, from all the records of the employees and the institutes, office related work, hostel admissions, room allotments, PR services, and all the required online services for the students, all the services related to finance and all the services related to the examination will be gradually fully digitized by March 2022. Added professor Som Nath.
The online portal will play an important role to reach the students and there will be transparency and accountability in the work along with saving of time and paper. Prof Som Nath said, “Our vision is to be a student friendly University and complete digitization is a step in that direction. From Tuesday onwards, the admission process will be starts from the IUMS Portal and students can easily complete the entire process from their homes.
