In the absence of large-scale features likely deep layer of winds from the west side of Mumbai, monsoon low pressure system over east or central India would be able to predict this.
The IMD had given yellow alert to Mumbai, after Friday’s rain and thunderstorm it has upgraded it to an orange category. In spite of this, the city saw only 14.1mm of rain in the 8 hours ending at 5.30pm.
