Praveen kumar was interrogated in June in an alleged case involving the suspected conversion of 1,000 people to Islam. An ordeal anticipatedwhen he returned home to his Saharanpur village.
New Delhi: A PhD student from UP had walked over 180km from Saharanpur to Delhiin a bid to clear his name of “terror taint”. Praveen kumar, who started out from Saharanpur on 27th July and reached Delhi on 1st August, claims that he was interrogated then cleared by the UP Anti-TerroristSquad in an alleged mass conversion case in June.
But he said that his neighbors in ShitalaKherevillage haven’t let him heat the end of it. They have defaced his hime, and sent him hate letters that refer to him as a terrorist.
